So your saying the Spectra pure is much more efficient then the Merlin right?

For some reason I cant find any info on a merlin 400g+ a day or is it the whole house unit?

So the deal is... he paid a pretty good sum for the unit to be installed, and he does not own it. He does not have a service contract... as in a monthly charge, he just has to buy his stuff from them when he needs it. He says it is more expensive (part wise) than going other routes like say SpectraPure.

What is special is that he had to go this route because he does not have the space for storage. He had no choice. So the unit is tank less. I don't know what the specs are, but his RO station is like a garden hose. Serious GPM. The thing is he never runs out of water, period.

Having said all that, the service pays for it's self. He is coming out ahead, and he only charges .25 cents a gallon. In fact, me getting a RO/DI would eventually pay for itself, but at .25/g 5 blocks from my house I'm in no hurry. And it gives me the reason to go to the LFS.

BTW... he says good luck. Don't expect any money any time soon. :)

LOL:) I don't expect any for awhile!

Thanks for checking it out for me.
I am going to check out a tankless system for sure!
They never emailed or called me yet. I could definitely
see the benefits of a tankless system that produces fast.

Talk with Spectrapure and have them explain the differences to you. Then you can do a cost/benefit analysis.

K+ for crossing mountains we all hope to, but don't even come close to understanding the gravity of. Your making fast progress, and I know you will have a sweet shop in short order.

The store i work in we use a merlin connected to 2 di units.. They are not bad, water on demand but takes awhile to fill buckets, trashcans etc.. We love it.. only thing filters are really expensive. Good luck on whatever you choose..
