But good news!

I was able to renew my contractor license from 1999.
They said since I had a license before I didn't need to take the test


Here is the progress

Tenant finish plans are submitted to the city
Asbestos tester is scheduled
Plan is still at USDA for approval
Internet, Phone, Cable TV will be installed Monday
website domain is purchased and transfered
Spectrapure has the city water report and are designing a RODI unit.

And I love the name and logo as well. Pretty stinkin' sweet. I'm definitely stopping by for a visit next time I'm in Colorado.

This is definitely a perfect example of "following and realizing one's dreams". It is also a huge POSITIVE given the times and economic climate we are living in right now....you have gone forward and made something happen despite all that! Hats off to you. This is inspiring indeed.

I am an architectural designer and have done many a retail project in the course of my career - but I have yet to have the pleasure of being involved in a reef shop - now THAT would be a nifty project.

I have enjoyed this thread immensely - I can imagine the various approval processes you have gone through and can appreciate your "sweating the details". It was fun to see you open a dialogue here on your thread for suggestions as you defined what would be the final layout.

Please be sure to give us all a "grand opening tour" sometime soon. Perhaps a video walk-through posted someplace? (not so subtle hint)... ;D

There will be plenty of pics and maybe even videos as we proceed.

This is tough times and a scary time to start a business...not to mention a saltwater fish store but we feel we can be more efficient and do things better then the competition on our side of town. We feel that there has been a need for this for years. For my brother and I this is a side gig, a dream for years now reality. Hopefully we come out of it with a decent income for my wife and some extra money on top of that.

The best thing is our personal tanks will now be AMAZING!
