Man I can't wait for this place to open. I just hope to have an LFS in it for the hobby and not to be so freaking greedy. I understand money plays a part, but seriously I went to one of the other LFSs over by me this weekend. For a 3" red brain coral they wanted $120!!!! I'll NEVER go back to that place again. Not when I can get the same thing for less than half that price online. (Saltwater Aquarium Corals for Marine Reef Aquariums: Brain Coral, Trachyphyllia)

I feel your pain there, and I'm pretty sure I know which store you're talking about. Hopefully the new store will bring some competitive nature back to the stores around here, and hopefully prices will be more reasonable at all of them.

Where are you located in Denver?

Its getting closer. we have salt in all the quarantine tanks, and by mid week we should have salt in the "wall of tanks".
We still have a lot of work to do though, but now we can start cycling while doing other projects.

Well I live by Glendale, on Leetsdale and Monaco. But my office is up off 70th and Broadway (Hwy 36 and Broadway) so it's pretty close to the store. R&P is the store I went to (trying to be as covert as possible). I also checked out Key's and he is always pretty fair on his prices. I don't even know why I bothered with R&P. I've never bought from them because they've always been too high. However I must admit their coral selection is pretty amazing. They definitely have a huge variety and plenty to choose from. But I wonder if that's because they ARE so high and no one ever buys from them. Not to mention the fact that the coral I asked about wasn't marked. The employee seemed to just kind of make the price up on the spot. I said "No thank you" and walked right out.

    Glad to hear it. :)
