my own ID this question :)

ok, I started out with 2 of these about 2 weeks ago, this morning I noticed they had multiplied! I think they are some type of snail eggs but thought I would get opinions. They dont move at all, they are just stuck to my overflow box.

 

I have the same sort of things on my sump and overflows but mine look like fuzzy/hairy..

That looks like and egg sack to me.

 

quick update and an observation.
there are only 2 of the sacks left. I was looking at them yesterday and noticed the whole surface of the overflow where they are was crawling with pods they seem to be grazing on the algea growing on the face of the overflow because it has been rapidly disappearing over the last 3 days
