    Many of us dream it, some plan it and few do it...well, im going to join the list of crazies!! lol With the lack of quality LFS, disappointing selections, and my sincere desire to spend all day in my tanks, im going to start a SW business. A storefront, more specifically. I already have a few maintenance accounts and am slowly getting my name around. Been planning this out for some time and waiting for a good location. that time has come!!! i found a great space that will be big enough for the shop and is also, right downtown. so, the crazy days begin!!
    Im still in the planning stages as far as store layout and building. also, getting things situated with suppliers and such. Pics to come soon. wont be much at first but a little something helps. so much to do..guess i should get off the forum!! LOL

    LOL... i hear ya. its so frustrating to see all these awesome stores and great online venues but have absolute CRAP in my town. unhealthy fish, no QT, ugly corals, the list goes on. plenty of reefers here complaining all the time. so i feel your pain.

    Do you basically just start calling suppliers to set up accounts or do you have contacts already? Ive been planning the same idea for a while now. I set up a 240 for a farm tank to frag all my own corals instead of buying them out. I figured I would start in my garage and go from there. See if I can get some maintenance accounts.

    great way to get started. unfortunately i have no garage and far too nice of a rental to turn a room into a fish store...lol
