my own store/business...

My Lfs has a sorta party thing every Wednesday night when they get the shipments in. He gives out beer and soft drinks and when the truck pulls up into the loading dock everyone starts picking what they want. He has a very good business and loyal customers. His prices are really good, usually the same or cheaper than LiveAquaria. His place kinda looks and feels like an Abercrombie and Fitch = Loud techno music and it's all dark with spotlights. Kinda weird for a Lfs, but hey I'm not complaining they have good selection and quality. Are you the one painting?, it looks cool. I really hope you succeed in your new Business.

thanks folks. I did all of the "painting". My buddy hooked me up with all of the wall art! the seahorses are painted on either side of the center pole.

Matt57: sounds interesting. whats the name of the shop? yeah. Wednesdays are kinda like that are the LFS now. well, no beer or fun times. But, people waiting around for the new stuff to show up. Im hoping, that you wont have to wait until weds. because its already in the store. Plus, if it came in today...i cant sell it today!! How would that be for customer service, or ensuring clients have healthy/thriving specimen.

Thats gonna be a big thing at my shop. Healthy, happy, quarantined animals. Corals that have been inspected and dipped. No sick fish on the sales floor, deal with that in the back room.

it's called Coral Connection. It has been a few years since I was there on a Wednesday night, so it may be different now, but that is how it use to be. You just buy whatever you like when you see it. He gets massive shipments in from some wholesaler, that even after his regulars buy what they want he has enough to last him a week. In the past even when I bought his new Specimen on a Wednesday they have never introduced ich or other diseases to my tank. He separates any unhealthy fish and coral in quarantine. He also has a Coral sunroom. The building is 2 stories and he runs a local saltwater club in a separate room.

sweet. glad everyone likes the paint. there arent any windows in the shop, so i wanted something a little bright(the magenta). soon the floor will be a nice shade of black!!

 

I think a Spiny lobster painted, facing outwards towards the onlooker would look really cool! Actually my Lfs has no windows, all set and done it doesn't matter because who needs windows when you have a window into the ocean! lol
