Thanks Kevin for starting this thread. I spent half the day trying to figure out what the heck is going on with this darn fixture!!!!;D
I just ordered mine. I got 2 of the black version . After speaking with Jerry I felt for my tank more blues would be a better idea as I will only have some LPS and softies in my tank and according to him he has had to raise this fixture a great deal on his 125.I will be sure to post pics when they arrive. K+ to you bro.

Mines about a foot off my tank and I'm worried about bleaching. Right now it's on 75% on blue and 65% on white. The blue looks great and my Acro's have soooo much more polyp extension. Time for some new ones :D

And ya, thanks for making the thread!

Right now I'm at 15" above the water line, with mostly LPS, and some moderate light SPS.

This is a great thread Kevin. Has me convinced to buy this fixture when I'm ready to upgrade. I always get nervous with Chinese made stuff lol.

Well you really shouldn't be as 80 percent of the electronics you probably already own were manufactured there.;)

For those of us with kids, def, after seeing toy recall after toy recall, but vinny's kinda right on. there isn't much in our house technological that isn't prob made in china! And after quality issue after quality issue with stuff from there but......

    Prob at least 80%

But I'm kinda jealous this fixture has made such leaps and bounds in a year or so! This same model a year ago was SLAMMED due to fires, overheating, rusting etc. BTW, I'm def not knocking todays version at all, just honestly amazed at the transformation I've watched over a year or so! I think its amazing that reefers can get this now quality fixture for as cheap as it is! I honestly hope these things last long as well. The next revolution of reefing is as economically viable as the the rest of lighting! And if these things last long, makes it TONS cheaper, lower electric bill and no new bulbs!

This is true. I had a quad that I had a really hard time finding parts for. Totally unrelated I know. 8)
