    Soooo what should I do here?

    I tested my water yesterday(afternoon -- lights on) and the PH was waaay too low. About 7.5, I have no idea why it dropped so low. And my alk was 6

    I have alk booster that I used soon after, 10mins later I tested it and it was a perfect 8.2...

    Now today I just tested it out twice to make sure the readings wern't off, and both time it says it's at 8.8...

    What the heck I'm I supposed to do. I never even came across a huge PH drop like that before, let alone a huge PH increase all in 24hours... Funny thing is my fish seem the happiest I've ever seen them(or they're just going crazy cuz it's so damn acidic LOL), hah.

    Btw, everything else tested fine. Ammonia 0, nitrates 0, nitrites 0, alk is 9.

    Help plz :confused::eek::p:confused: much appreciated.

    Try a partial saltwater change and aerate the water. Do you run a protein skimmer or any air pumps?

    no skimmer yet. All I have is 3 powerheads, and rigged my return pipes to hit everywhere in my tank practically, no deadspots at all.

    sounds like you need to get your magnesium in check. Do you have a test for it?

    Well PH is pretty unstable and fluctuates through out the day.

    My personal advice is, just maintain your KH at the right levels and the PH should stay in check. Thats just what i personally do, i've never tested PH, only KH.
