That is my avatar because it is what I am trying to grow. However my goal and my zoanthid's goals seem very different.

Thanks - I had to move them around a few times. I had them in the frag tank and they were not doing that well. Now I have them on the bottom of my 75 - decent flow - good amount of light - and they seem to be flourishing. I do hit them with some reef roids every few days. They seem to like that.

A diamond in the rough!!! So I drove over 5 hours round trip to pick up my new skimmer today. When I got there, I was a little taken back at the condition, it was really dirty, but still I knew it was a good deal. So I got home, busted out a few five gallon buckets, filled one with RO and one with RO and white vinegar and started taking it all apart. Soaked a while and busted out the wife's toothbrush... Ha ha JK - it was her old one :D

So scrub scrub rinse whip down, dip and repeat and I have what looks like a BRAND SPANKING new Reeflo Orca 250 skimmer!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!! So the pump is in Okay shape - I think I am going to dissemble and clean it up well and keep as a spare and go right for the Dart Hybrid and just get it new. It is more efficient and quieter anyway.

So either this weekend or the week after next, going to pull the sump apart and build the baffles and new sock holders that I posted up about before and plum this bad boy in. I am EXCITED!!! This is a beast and can handle a TON of volume so I will be all set when I do my big upgrade.

I hate seeing people getting out of the hobby - but you can wind up really upgrading your stuff if your in the right place at the right time.

Nice work on the skimmer. I recently scored a ASM (All Seas Marine) about the size of R2D2 for $100 bucks! Wait til you see that skimmer cup fill up once you get it going!

Mine were not doing well in my frag tank at all - to the point I was worried I would loose them. Now they are on the bottom of the 75 - with moderate flow and decent light.
