So here are my upgrade goals -
Replace the 100 with the Custom 220
Replace the 40 breeder Deep sand bed Fuge with a 29 High just Chaeto - this will move to where my QT Tank is. Or leave as is and remove dsb.
Consolidate 75 grow out and 30 rimless to a 60 rimless deep blue frag tank - this will go on the shelf that holds the 30 and the 40B

Already upgrading the calcium reactor from my Reef Octopus to a Pro Cal -
Stand alone QT system, I have in mind to build a 3 tier QT system. I have a 29 custom sump, have a small skimmer and lights. The 2 shelves will be 20 L ongs that have dividers in them, I want to get this up right away as I have a nice list of fish I want for the upgrade and want them to be all QT'd by the time I pull the trigger for the DT switch.

They include - Purple Tang or Naso Blond (on the fence) , Desjardini sailfin Tang, Trio of Anthias, Temenikki Wrasse and bellus Angel I have a few others in mind but wife will need to be a part of picking them out.

With these changes I believe my water Volume will be about 375 - 400 Gallons

And as far as the custom stand, this is what I am planing. I want it to be beefy but elegant. Using Solid Oak, canopy will be vented and hinged and it will have side panels that cover the back of the tank that are removable so I can get into the coast to coast - sea swirls and maybe a power head .in the back as I am going bare bottom

Ha ha - no I defiantly have issues - but could also have a lot worse habits, I am in Huntington - not far. Yes love the dental trim on it. I want the pillars a little more pronounced. I will take pictures as I go.

are you going to build the stand yourself? I just got caught up on the thread. Nice work in cleaning that beast up! I assume that since you've gotten this far, you got spousal approval :) I really like the look when a stand is elegant - great ideas you have posted! Your ideas on the tank sound impressive - looking forward to watching your progress reef!

Ha ha. Well not exactly fully approved yet but covered the cost to pick everything up. Yes I am making the stand. I need to do a layout and material list. I have a good mill near me and I can buy planed boards straighter and cheaper than home depot. I have built stands before and have done all the crown moulding and trim in my house so pretty confident I can make a nice finished project.

    How big is this tank?

The design you picked for the stand is gorgeous.

It is a custom 220. Starfire glass, and not a nick or ding in it.

I promise I tried to figure it out myself, but I saw like 6 different tank sizes in the last two pages that my head was swimming.

"Replace the 100 with the Custom 220
Replace the 40 breeder Deep sand bed Fuge with a 29 High just Chaeto - this will move to where my QT Tank is. Or leave as is and remove dsb.

Gee I can not understand my confusion. :p
