The green wave and mycedium chalice are really cool looking. I love chalice with color streaks.

yea that mycedium is really nice. It has doubled in size since I have had it - under all blues it is out of control.

Okay a little update. For Fathers day I decided that Dad wanted to work on his stand! I totally ripped apart the canopy because I didn't like how it was coming out. I am now going a little higher, It will have built in fans, as well as hold the 6 bulb 60" ATI fixture and 3 Hydras. It is larger but weighs less. I used 1/2 sanded birch for the top - the other one had 3/4 oak top (over kill) I will re purpose the oak on my 120 stand I am building after this is done.

I was able to get in one coat of primer to the inside - I will now cover that in a high gloss white Marine paint, The exterior will still be stained. The 3 sides are wrapped in Oak so it matches the base.

I will get some pics up soon.

For the inside of the canopy I used a marine white polyurethane.
