They look big and healthy. Clams really make a reef tank complete IMO.

Finally good progress on the stand. Got the inside of the canopy complete. Painted with 2 coats of marine white gloss polyurethane.

Then got the dentil molding cut

Now to tackle the shelf on the stand that will cover the crown and the doors!

Today I am going to finish the "shelf" that covers the crown on the base. Once that is on I will do a nice routed edge on it, then will fill all nail holes and start to sand. Hopefully if the weather cooperates I am going to do some work on the doors. Will post more pics along the way.

Thats really nice, it's gonna look stunning with a tank on it. I wish I could do woodwork, nice job.

I just can't wait to see the finished product. I've learned a lot on this build, things I would definitely do different next time. Plus using Red Oak for this big of a stand with all that trim you could say I have gone over budget LOL

Its the same with the reef tank, theres so much that I'd do differently but its part of reefing. Always something to learn and I like that. Red oak, ouch$$$

You can always make a piece a little shorter you can never make it a little longer haha
