OK, so here are pictures of my 29 gallon dt with 10 gallon sump. The over flows are in the corners, with elbows pointing up so i can set the level in the DT rotating them. The middle is the return with an elbow, and a plug with a slit cut in it, to direct flow, and it is close to the surface for siphon proofing. The rear I'm not sure about. Do I use the T's for elbows with the top of the Ts open to prevent gurlging and quiet things down? Or do i just use elbows? Is it ok to have them running less than vertical as shown? Return is a rio 10HF going through 5/8" reinforced vinyl hose.

Any help, comments or suggestions would be great.

    Thanks Danny

I would also toss a few gate valves on there to control the flow

I agree to use the "tees", it will act as a vent and quiet things down. I think that using both as a drain is a good thing. Looks like you're on the right track, I'll be watching for some pics as thing thing gets filled!

    Thank you guys,

2 drains because i was going to herbie...but now im not, so redundancy isn't a bad thing, especially for a drain. My drain also will be the feed for the ATS, into fuge. so busy with work i cant wait to get the rest built, but work gets in the way...more pics to come! DIY im almost done with. 24 12cw/12rb 22" heat sink. This will be skimmer less. 40lbs of live rock curing in a bucket, with aiptasia :(.

Seriously, you put a lot of pipe into that thing. I have a 55g with one 300g Eshopps overflow box in the left corner, a Rio+1700 pump pushing up 4ft, and I have no issues with flow or drain, and everything is happy. Awesome job on the exquisite plumbing.
