I was using the magnet glass cleaner I have... Like the Magna float but just green and it is a little heavy. I was going from the side glass to the front and it came off the piece on the outside and fell right ontop of my zoa colony! It actually crushed one of the polyps to the point it's now in half. My poor zoas. Most have opened up already... Just waiting for the few that actually felt the force of the drop to re-open. I'm curious to see if that one zoas that got crushed makes it or not. Well... Lesson learned.... Be more careful, even with a magnet glass cleaner!

I think that soft coral is like roses - the more you cut it, crush it, slice it, the more it grows!! (or more pieces grow) That zoa will be just fine, if not split into 2 polyps....8)

That must be one heavy glass cleaner!!

Lol yea... That's kind of how I was looking at the situation. That one polyp is open like normal now, just a little ratty looking lol. Yea, I got it at Walmart because the other LFS's I go to were all out of Magna floats... And walmart only had one size... "wrecking ball".... So I figured I would pick it up anyway lol But now I think I will go check if my LFS has a small magna float.... Am I saying that right? "magna float"? For some reason that doesn't sound right to me lol

Zoa's are tough! My little tuxedo urchin pulls and pulls at the polyps until he rips them right off the rock then he carries them around like some kind of a trophy and they grow just fine...on his back! Your zoa's will be just fine!
