i come home from work to find that my power head has sucked up my red anomone. it has lost most off it's bodie and has turned my water cloudy. all my fish seem stressed and my white anomone has closed it's self up completly. i have performed a 20% water change and removed most of the shredded anomone. is there anything more that i should do?

    please help :-[:-[:-[:-[:-[:-[:-[

    this is what i lost

Yeah, another couple aggressive water changes and get some carbon running on the tank ASAP.

Remove the wounded anemone to quarentine if you have it. Depending on the damage, it may not survive and nuke your tank. the cloudiness is due to a bacteria bloom, nothing to worry about.

Remove ALL pieces of the anemone. Start running carbon ASAP.

You need to remove all the anemone pieces – if there are small pieces you can use a fish net to scoop them from the water. Run all the activated carbon you can and continue with water changes – large water changes.

man that really sucks, I have lost around, 2-3 anems from the same problem, even 1 got sucked up into my filters intake once too. Guys just dont know how to sit still. I would suggest finding some filter media, the foamy sponges, and cutting a hole in one big enough to fit around your powerheads intake so its anem. proof.
