Normally, my puppy is either sleeping on my lap, sleeping at my feet, or begging to play. Last week I noticed he was gone for a while so I got up to investigate. Tyson (Boston Terrier) found a cassette tape and chewed on it until it broke. Then he proceeded to eat the tape "spaghetti-like" until he almost went through the whole thing.

Never in my life would I ever believe that I would have a dog standing on my bed with me pulling and unspooling cassette tape out of a dog's belly. I kid you not, I just kept pulling and pulling but the tape seemed like it was never going to stop. It looked like something out of a real bad comedy. Thank God I caught him before he got the whole thing down.

cant believe that is the only thing Tyson has ate so far! Especially with terrier in him. They are known hard headed.

Lets see.....I went through a spell where I pumped one of my old dogs stomach so much that he would see the bottle of hydrogen peroxide and he would just puke!

Toys have wound up missing in my house only to be passed days later you know where.

My pug pukes up things I have no idea where he gets it.

My pups now....has ate wires to my tv, my cable box, my light (all in one day while I was at work (dont know how they did not get fried) somehow one of them got a paw out of their METAL cage and pulled a power strip into their cage and had a hay day. I got home, they were not crying, so went to turn on light....no light. Touched cage got a little tingle. Flipped off switch and saw these 2 little 12 week old yorkie pups sitting there, hair frizzed with wire pieces in their mouth and beard, hudled together. They must have just done it, and were scared to death. I swear it made my male cross eyed and dumb as a box of rocks. (which was not that far of a reach) They have not chewed on wires since.

My female pup still likes to eat paint...which is real fun now that I am painting. Her beard is this nice pumpkin spice color. I try to keep her away, but she will walk up to a wall that is drying and lick the paint..... And when it dries she will use her front teeth to chew paint off wall. I have called the vet and they say it is just bad habit, nothing is going to hurt her. (EXCEPT ME!!!)

I am starting to wonder if these 2 pups, if there was not some type of inbreeding going on somewhere. Not the brightest animals I have ever owned.

But I can just imaging seeing you pull yards of tape from Tyson :cheesy:

    It's not just dogs :)

I remember seeing my cat walking out of the room and wondered what it was that seemed to be stuck just under her tail. After a bit of 'puss puss pussing" I trapped the cat, spun her around and pulled nearly 2 feet of clingwrap out of her backside :)

glad your dog wasn't hurt! ok here's a few for ya...had a friend years ago with a spud mckenzie dog and it ate the bathroom scale, 3k worth of surgeries later and it was "healed", at a telephone after that.........another... hubby's best friend's dog, a boykin spaniel ate a roll of paper towels and pooped them out (no, not in sheets, but the print was still on them) and my old dog(who lived to 19.5 years old) had a VERY long blade of grass in her nose one time. It ended up being about 8 inches long. Boy was that weird figuring out what was wrong with her, then pulling it out!

My dog can't leave the trash alone! She is almost 2 now and is a yellow lab. I left the house one day for seriously 15 minutes MAX and she had gotten into 3 different trash cans, the entire house looked like a disaster area! Now she gets the pleasure of staying in the laundry room when it is raining and I am gone! I even put up a $1800 privacy fence when we first moved in so she could be outside while we are at work all day, well she now gets tied to a tree with 15 foot of cord because she thought the new $400 patio set was her new chew toy! Damned dogs!!
I bet you were cringing the entire time you pulled that tape out! I am just as amazed that you still have tapes around the house!

Hey now.....I still have Scott's phone number somewhere and he lives near you. I can still have you pummeled. ;D;)

You DEFINATELY need to read this book. It's called Marley and Me. Marley & Me - John Grogan :: Harper Collins Publishers They are going to even make a movie about it. Marley & Me (2008) However, I'm sure the book will be better.

Here's one of my labs (now deceased). When Cheyenne would stack the balls like this she sounded like Darth Vader. [IMG]
