I could not get used to mine. It lasted 6 days in my tank and back to the store. Mine was really a very messy eater and there was no possibility of table manner teaching. He kept eating like a pig and practically burying my zoo colonies.... he had to go.
I asked around and found hot that most of them raise above the sand bed between 1 and 1.25 inches .... mine was scooping and going half way up the water column to drop it.

I'm glad yours is more civilized than mine was :)

i would love to hear how everything goes. i have never moved a tank but have heard of people having problems with relocated sand causing an ammonia spike. i hope that everything goes well.

That's a good observation. I would remove the rock and leave the sand alone with some water (barely 1/16") covering it.
Moving it will definitely stir things up in the way you don't want it to.

I use liquid phosphate remover by ultra life. It just takes a few drops. No negative effects. My take immediately was cleared from cyano. I had tried everything. it instantly takes your phosphates to zero.

I still use it sparingly if I overfeed. I battled it for months and nothing worked (red slime remover, chemi pure elite) and I use RODI water.

    I highly recommend it!

Thank you I will report back after the move is complete.

Someone else will be moving my tank as I will not be present so im going to try it with only taking half the water out of the tank. So I will be leaving the live rock and sand I know not a good idea.
