Not yet Matt, I want to get my dosers under control. The little buggers have got minds of their own all of sudden.

This is going to sound dumb but do you think it's possible to remove the water fall? I love the tank and the fact that it's drilled but I would want a regular return. I just don't want to yank it out and mess with the bottom silicone

Matt, tank is looking Fan-freaking-tastic! I really love that style of tank.

Question going back aways in the thread, noticed you have a kiddo lock on the cabinet (I will be doing the same). Any trouble keeping the little hands out of the tank?

Wow. I did not realize I was so far behind here. Sorry all. A little update below.

Thanks dowtish! Life is a juggle but I am trying to keep this ball in the air.

I hear ya. If I could, I would remove it. It prevents me from really cranking the return pump. Or putting a normal lid in on in the winter. It is a nice ATS though, but it does get loud with growth on it.

Other than the occasional ball floating in it, he is really good with it. He stares at it when he eats. Good luck with yours.

    Thanks fishflakes.

    UPDATE -

So today I got some much needed time in on my aquarium. I worked at home today and my son Morgan and I did a water change at lunch. I was pushing 4 weeks or so - so I really needed to do it as it is a nano and things get wonky past that.

Funny thing is, I've been traveling a bit and solo with the kid, so tank time has been a bit rare. I was relieved to see most things doing well behind that algae on the glass.

Worth noting is the coral fight I have going between my montipora undata and my Bird's Nest. The Bird's Nest is getting consumed. See the attached pic.

I also have monitpora digitata and monti caps in a battle royale. The digitata is creaming the caps.

The only coral that is bugging me is the old staghorn that has been through nuclear fallout in my tank over the years. It has never really recovered. It had a nice growth spurt over the summer and then browned out. I am not sure why - perhaps that was when I lowered the light briefly. I noticed weirdness and raised it back up after a month or so. Anyway, I pruned the staghorn recently and I am hoping for the best there.

My son is not even 3 and he is into this tank. He could be taking the reigns here. He took a pic of me before the water change. We are talking about getting a new fish since there are only 2 in there. Maybe a royal gramma.

    matt
