my reef creation vs reef devil skimmer

okay so within the next few days maybe hours i need to make up my mind before i miss the chance to buy, my reef creation MR-1 or a reef devil both work for about the same size tank.. mine is 72g

which of the two is eaier to work with and a better over all skimmer

Reef Creation MR-1 or a Reef Devil? I have a Reef Devil Deluxe & it works great, but I would go with the MR-1. It's a lot easier to clean.

 

i was reading that the mr-1 is hard to clean and needs a lot of attention?

 

Really? I don't do squat to my reef devil. Just clean it once a month, but its a pain to clean the gunk on the foaming tower section. I'm still trying to make a tool for that.

yeah in all honesty im looking for a used skimmer or new for like 150 tops i dont want to be spending that much money unfortunately it is an expensive hobby.. the my reef creation the bid went up pretty high its new but no pump at like almost 160 now idk if i want to do it.. i saw the eshopps skimmers on ebay how are those? i just want to avoid a crappy skimmer, oh and like a red sea skimmer for like 70 is on there too.. i just need someone to help me out i cant have anything taller than 22 inches which is still pushing it on space to open the top

 

well everyone thank you for your time i settled my problem easily.. i just scored a Euro Reef CS6-1 with a new pump for 125, sounded like a good deal everyone seems to love euro reef, is this enough for my tank ? 72g
