Can anyone tell me or point me to a link on the u-tube mod for a MRC skimmer. Also any other mods for them would be great.

    Thanks,
    Ardo

What think all it does is direct the water up the tube. Seems simple but I figure I would try and find some who has done it first. Hate to try and reinvent the wheel for no reason..;D . Thanks again for the link!!

Well I never found a good picture of it, but did figure it out. All you need is about 1" of 1" PVC, 1.5" Street Elbow, 1.5" 90, and 1.5" to 1" reducer. Than connect the two elbows together for a U shape, insert the reducer and 1" PVC. Last step is to connect to the bulkhead that hold the Beckett and position it pointing up the skimmer body. Seemed to make the water not as turbulent. Since I haven’t hook my main display to the sump I will not know if it increased the performance of the skimmer. The next time I clean it I will take some photos.

Not as turbulent? I think you'd want more. Is it more flow or something?

Well after getting a newer Beckett for my MR-2 skimmer I was getting it dialed in and seems to work better then their old style. So I deiced to remove that mod call the u-tube mod. Well I'm glad I did. It seem to create to much upward current and kept tossing the foam back under. Now the bubbles seem finer and denser than ever before.
