    Putting aside your personal tragedy for a second.... let's focus on me.;D

    Hot water has a lower solubility of carbonate. So hot things.... like shafts and motors.... cause carbonate to plate out on stuff. You are going to check your pumps.... but I am pretty curious how the Bubble blaster looks with the fancy shmancy nitride coating. It does not allow carbonate to stick. Sucks you got into this predicament, but it would be cool to see how the BB did.

    this is true on the bubble blaster.... I have yet to pull it out and clean it... The exterior of the pump was visibly coated. But the true test is the shaft and needle wheel. Will let you know tommorow night

    I can assure you my tank has recovered otherwise you wouldnt see me posting in other threads ;)

    But yes I am do for picture update in my tank thread. Give me sometime and I will even have a vid
