I did the same thing, does look like a nice unit and has the same dimensions as my DIY 40, but mine cost me less than $100 to complete including the light.

That looks like one mighty piece of equipment. I just finished squeezing my fuge under my cabinet, so I can feel what you're about to go through. Have fun and post a lot of pictures.

Congratulations ! I look forward to the pictures.

I would suggest a couple extra baffles in the refugium one on the left and the other on the right. Your water is set to flow over the plexi glass wall but is not designed to flow down to your macros, but rather across the surface of the refugium. I think it would be more beneficial if you inset a couple pieces of plexi and have the water flow through the refugium at the bottom where your macro’s will be rather than across the surface which appears to be the original design. I look forward to your pictures.

BTW, I too built my own and this is the exact unit I copied from – I inserted the extra baffles after I put it together and realized they were warranted. Good luck !

I have one also. They're really built well. Are you using a internal or external return ?

I'm using a Gen X 2400 in sump return. Here are some pics of the New ADHI and my Old Sump....Don't laugh OK you gotta start somewhere. I also added a recent pic of my tank after I removed all the Display coral. I would recommend using only Live Rock to everyone out there,Dead Coral is useless. IMO....Enjoy

Im not going to laugh at the old one Surferdude
I reckon it served its purpose and after all they are functional items
I am intrigued to know what the markings on the side mean? I assume they are levels but would like to know what each level and number indicates please

the new one is awesome though IMHO
setting that up will be very enjoyable

Thanks Steve. On the markers on the Old Sump, I don't know what the 1,2,3,4 marks represent they were there when it was given to me???? But the grey duct tape is my lower level mark and the far left mark is my upper level mark where I tried to keep within this window. My next task will be this Friday to get this new Fuge in the Cabinet. I'm going to cut a new door in the left side to get it in. Will be fun.... will post more pics. 8)
