Are all these parts necessary. This came with the tank when i bought it. I added an inline check valve and a flare nozzle to it. If so i was thinking of eventually replacing with all black parts. The reason i am wondering is because when i put all these pieces on, the flow from the nozzle was extremely decreased from just the first 90deg piece. Is my pump suffering from this? What can i do to increase the flow?

I'm sorry man I don't know that is quite the monstroscity.

instead of a check valve have you considered drilling a hole in the nozzle at water level. so it break the siphon.

Wow, I can't see how having those 2 90's is good they will only reduce your flow. Go straight pipe to the lockline via an adapter. +1 on the syphon break.;)

If its slightly below water level you don't notice it. most flow will go out where its is supposed to.

Idk its what ever you want. all the return really has to do is put water back in the tank, very few rely on it heavily to provide needed flow.

With some pulling and pushing i got one of the 90s off. I know its just cycling the water and doesnt need to be that powerful but does this harm the return pump?

the only thing that I know harms a pump is running it dry.
