I just looked in to my tank and my Rose BTA is splitting ;D. I got it about 1.5 months ago and it has been doing very well. Took about 1 to 2 weeks to get it to eat for me but now it is a little piggie. Yesterday it took a half of a large shrimp and ate it.

I also found my blue spotted jawfish hiding in a rock by it. I had not seen him for a couple days since I got him so it was good to see that he is still with us!

We had a hi fin goby go missing...found his remains plastered onto a rock after the CUC got to him, he wasn't doing to well at all during the acclimation etc. Poor guy. I'm glad your jawfish came out to play though!

Find it odd that it did not hide behind the rocks or in a crevice like most anemone's when splitting for protection. Strange to say the least.

Also, are you sure its a RBTA? I remember not to long ago on these forums, someone posted about a RBTA that had split several times in a few month period, only to find out that there is another type of anemone that looks like a RBTA but is actually not- and is well known for splitting at almost pest-like levels.

I think I got overly excited, now that the lights are off it does not look like it is going to split...who knows! Was hoping something good was going to come today but........
