I just recently (yesterday) got a sea urchin to add to my tank. Seemed happy at first, attached to the rock and went to town on it, but now has positioned itself on the top corner of the tank. Is this normal? Should I put him back down? I have an opening in the top (as my tank is a converted fresh water), do I need to worry about him getting out?

Sea urchins are algea grazers and go where they want to go just like snails. My snails will go to the top of the water line but no suicides to-date. Would assume the same for urchins. They can be real bulldozers of your aquascaping.
