The amazing thing is those hydrangeas are still growing...they were both massive before she had her way with them, and she turned them into little nubs in the ground. Branches ripped off, limbs chewed to pieces, etc. Lo and behold, along comes spring and the stupid things are still alive and kicking, growing back where she ate them, being covered in leaves even though they are only a foot tall. I'm truly impressed with those plants.

I don't think she caused as much utter destruction as my mom is saying. The couch is still being used, it just has a dog cover on it. And we had to staple its skirt back a few times :D A lot of her destruction is something you can repair, so that was nice. Thankfully once they mature they get much better at behaving and not chewing everything in sight.

Such beautiful dogs, all of them! I can relate to the high energy levels,my pup is a four month old australian cattle dog,she seems to have almost endless energy. Her latest favorite game is "herding" a basketball.

A few times???? I about wore out a staple gun fixing the couch skirt!!!

Baby boy (AKA =Jwin=) had no part in paying for the cost of these "repairs!" I also forgot about the couch cushions...it's a scary feeling coming in the door and finding about 2 feet of fluff in the den. It's amazing how much fluff is stuffed in those cushions!

By the way, she's also eating the dog cover on the couch...it has fluff in it. She has a thing with fluff...

But she's so cute and sweet :sweethear

We use ground cayenne pepper if he gets into things he's not supposed to, for example digging holes, put some in the hole, he stops digging. He would dig up my mom's lilies, so we put cayenne pepper around them and he no longer goes near them. Heck, we used it on the wall where he likes to chew, even some of the chairs.

So far Nanuk hasn't destroyed anything, which I attribute to him being in a large play pen when he's not outside.

I've heard of using cayenne pepper...glad it's working for you! I sprayed Bitter Apple on lots of stuff. Maya hated it...Bitter Apple saved most of my furniture!

we used bitter apple for the german shepherd and it worked. I like cayenne pepper more though because it doesn't smell, you can just wash it off with water, and its ALOT cheaper haha

Also for the digging, you can take one of his poops and put it in the problem whole, and they'll stop digging there.

Good point about the cayenne! We've done the poop trick...it's hilarious how they can't wait to cover that hole back up...unfortunately, it doesn't prevent her from digging in another spot! She's pretty good now, though. She knows where she's supposed to dig and unusually digs there.
