My Starry Blenny eats mysis shrimp

I put some mysis in the tank and the Blenny went right after it. He gobbled up quite a bit of it. I thought they were supposed to be herbivores? This couldn't hurt him could it?

He will be fine. Most of the fish in my tanks have become omnivores. I still feed the tang and angel nori as they need the nutrition, but they also eat mysis, squid, pellets, etc. I have found that the trick is having a varied diet. I regularly switch between frozen for herbivores and carnivores, pellets, flake and regular sheets of nori.

yeah my algae blenny eats flake food and sometimes cyclops and brine shrimp so dont worry about it

 

My starry eats everything and anything and it's fine. Krill, brine, mysis, squid, algae, and anything I feed my fish or corals. No worries.

 

Good to know. I guess humans aren't supposed to be able to digest milk either but I'm drinking a milkshake right now.
