my stingey anemone

    my anemone will not sit still he looks healthy but will not stay in the same place for 3 weeks this has ben going on and im getting frustrated. any advice. my othe one hase ben in the same place for 8 months now.

    Your anemone will move around the tank looking for a spot that it likes...current and lighting to its liking. Eventually, it may find a spot it likes. It may also stay in a spot for a little while, only to move yet again.

    yeah, that's the thing about anemones'. They move until they are happy, even then they will still move again. That's why I got rid of my Condy (plus he kept trying to eat my $24 Cleaner Shrimp!)That's how they meet untimely deaths in a tank, the move to close to the powerhead.

    Yup...Anemones are the tough guys of the sea...they move wherever they want, whenever they want hah.

    Ha...yup my little RBTA picked a fight with a powerhead...he back back in action in a week or two.

    Now that I think about it, I don't think I will ever buy an anemone again. :(

    Thats why anemones do not make good tank inhabitants when you keep corals ..They move and go where they want. Depending on the type some can corralled a little with rocks to a point..And some just like to roam.

    Yup...my anemone decided to grow...er expand...and kill a colony of zoos that was next to it. Luckily there are still some daughter colonies in the tank.

    Now that anemone split...I am a bit worrysome.
