There's a REALLY good reason they're the norm, because they ROCK! They're fun, hardy, you can train them to a certain extent! They're goofy and interesting! And very low maintenance! The perfect combo!

IMO crdinalfish are the opposite! maybe i've had bad ones!PITA to me and boring! cool looking, but they just sit there! Blah

Tangled up in blue, where's the avatar! switch to another Dylan pic!

But i think your plans are perfect, its what ya want and cool! i'd add the pistol shrimp though with the goby! I'd def get a black and an orange though, cool to watch the 2 colors weave in and out!

Not true AT ALL! Every saddleback clown I see is very timid, they can get pretty
    , is isn't a B/W occy though.

there ya go! FRO dylan! love it! your LFS should be able to get ya a BW clown for $20! if not, plenty of places online! I'd ask the LFS to order ya one! I just like them! Plus for a small stocking situation, it offers ya some variety!

I'd get a fang blenny if you want an interesting fish that swims a lot. A midas blenny would get too large and active IMO.

no no no, saddle clowns just like all clowns are extremely territorial, and the fact they are much larger than most clowns only makes that worse.

Size means nothing. If they aren't spawning they aren't going to be aggressive. Also a spawning pair of occys or worse true percs could/would be just as aggressive.

OK, but i doubt very much that many of the black clowns you'll find in a LFS are true clowns! My bet is most are tank bred false clowns! And those are almost always nice as heck and easy to take care of! And they're usually $20! even in my small podunk town!
