DUDE he's puting 3 maybe 4 smaller fish in a 29! HE;s cool! And he's prob gonna get false clowns as they are cheaper! You can get black false clowns for $20-25 all day long! Plus the chromis is twice as fast as any clown and the goby some day will not occupy their territory! Freakin relax!

Fish stocking is not as black and white as you make it! Each tank and fish is different! STOP BULLYING your beliefs on others!

 

Here's a nice plan....(in order)

1 chromis

One week later...

2 occy clowns(of I can find a cheap black one that'd be swell)

A month or two later...

1 goby/shrimp pair

 

I like it exempt for the chromis, I'm not a fan of putting a single chromis in a nano.

 

Perfect! sorry to bully you on getting the black one, I just LOVE mine! I think the week in between the chromis and 2 clowns may be a tad short! But test and see what happens! I'd ask your LFS if they can order ya a small black false clown! You should be good to go for about $45 for the pair! I;m trying to find a website i saw that has a ton of diff clowns!

 

Ahh why so? Any suggestions for an alternative? I'd like something active.

I think that would be fine. There's nothing wrong with a single chromis in a nano (or any other tank). Usually people start with a group & they bully each other to death until there's just one anyway.

And clowns can be aggressive whether they're spawning or not. That's more dependent on how much competition and room there is in the tank for territory.

 

Sweet. Maybe 2 weeks after the chromis would be better before clowns.
