My tang is a jerk!

I have two tangs in my 125g, a Lavender and a Tomani. The Lavender is quite a bit bigger, and has a far greater attitude. There isn't alot of bullying and definitely no tang-on-tang violence, but when nori get put on the clip, my Lavender is a huge jerk.

So I figured I'll put two clips in my tank, problem solved. Nope. The Lavender will go back and forth trying to gaurd each clip so no one eats 'his' algae from either one. This leads to a great game of hide and seek. My Tomani has way better eyesight so I can slide the nori clip around so he can see it and the Lavender can't. I just don't know why he has to monopolized both clips!

 

LOL, it is his tank/territory so it is his nori. At least you have a means to get nori to the tomini.

 

Oh they both eat off both clips, I just feel bad for the little guy. He is pretty fat though so I guess its not a big deal. I give them alot less nori now that they are both established too.

 

where do you find nori at i feed my tang purple seaweed

 

same stuff. I do feed purple, red, and green seaweed/nori. I got the green at the grocery store, the purple red at the LFS.

 

You should get 50 clips and place them all over the tank then watch your Lavendar go crazy trying to guard them all

 

I have a little asian market that you can get plain nori sheets, tons cheaper!

LMAO!!! this whole threadis GREAT!! can't stop laughing! I had a clown tha did that with both nem's and my fox coral, wouldn't let the other one near ANY of them
