    only way im getting my tangs to swim that far is by dragging the magnetic nori clip around the tank all day.

    I bet it would swim even more if it were in a bigger tank. Wonder how far they swim in the ocean?

    Some tangs can swim about 5-10 miles a day in the ocean, possibly more, possibly less, it just all depends on the evironment and the full health of the tang.

    We have a cross hatch trigger at work that swims over 8 miles a day.Just like nascar only left turns.

    My sohol is likely in the 8 mile range aswell ....weird he's a left hand turner aswell hmmm

    I read an article on fish population counting and they sampled yellow tangs. The researchers said that a typical yellow tang territory will encompass approx. 5 square miles. They estimated that the yellow tang will swim almost all of this territory every day.

    lol i have a blonde naso that only swims into the glass when he sees a person. He always wants to swim towards you no matter where your at...

    I am wondering if the left hand turns could be due to the flow in the tank?
