Lol....you might be hurting yourself for the long run - saying that. For now it works....just wait.

Looks great so far though! Keep up the good work and welcome to 3reef!

LOL. I agree with Seano.. Be careful saying that haha. Just wait till you get REALLY addicted.. I find myself at the LFS or on websites looking at corals I just "can't live without", far too often.. Haha. The tanks looking good though! Great start. I'm looking forward to seeing it progress!

    Things I've learned so far:

    - There's a such thing as cycling a tank without fish (wish I knew this sooner)
    - Damsel's are b-tards
    - Behn's Damsel's are the spawn of pure evil and can only be killed by sharks with lasers.
    - Get a halfway decent test kit BEFORE filling your tank.
    - Buy an RO/DI filter before filling your tank.

Bringing up my old build thread.

Tank ruptured 9/21/2011. Came home to about 5 gallons of water missing and a trickle from one of the front seams. This was literally just days before our wedding and two week honeymoon.

Didn't have the time (or money) to setup a replacement, so all of the occupants, fish & corals, were saved and given to a good home. They're still alive and living in a co-workers beautiful 180g.

Completely heartbroken after just getting everything close to stable, but glad it happened while I was NOT ON VACATION! ... that would have sucked.

    Anyways ...
We were watching Tanked last night and the wife said "You need to build a new tank." So with her blessing ;D I'm aiming at doing a 90g DIY setup.

The tank WILL be "reef ready". I'm beginning to sketch up a stand design, but am worried about just where the bottom valve is. Can anyone provide me with the dimensions from the edge of the tank?? I am looking at the "Deep Blue Professional Reef Ready 90g".
