My temps

    My temps have been fluctuating between 76 and about 80 from morning to night. Is this a good region???? I have soft corals and a yellow watchman and a Clown.

    Its not a major problem IMO although it would be better to prevent those swings
    if you have a heater- set it to 78 - then there is nly a 2 degree variation

    But having said that
    the water temp in the locations they come from would vary by more than that in any 24 hour period

    the thing you do need to be really carefull with is temperatures outside of normal parameters for the species you keep

    over 85 and some corals will show signs of distress IME ( chiller purchased for that very reason)

    +1 to steve my temps go from 76-82 on any given day with no problems at all

    I'm about in this same region, I don't even own a heater
