It is normal as i've seen them incorporate all sorts of corals as their home. I can't believe that for the length of time that I have had a Percula Clown and a Pacific Long tentacle Anemone(about 3 years) my Parcula never showed any interest in the anemone. This morning I went to feed the tanks and my Clown was loving life in the safety of my Anemone...Home Sweet Home...!I think I may have tio get my Clown a housewarming gift(hahaha)!

well first off, that's not a tomato clown.

that is a cinnamon clown and it looks much cooler then a tomato. i have the same clown. i think its name is A. melanopus but i probably misspelt that one.

also, if he is making the polyps close all the time by touching them, then that is not good for them

Have a pair of perc's that call a Gigas clam home seems they know when he is about to snap shut LOL Had a pair to spawn under a torch coral . I have never had them to harm a coral myself..Kind of like the idea the fish feed the corals and then they grow and do better I think .

Yeah, well I hope that our clowns don't try to feed the gigas or we'll have to give it the Heimlich!!! :)

I too have a percula that hosts in a 4-5 inch gigas. I used to have a pair of neon gobies that would swim in and out of my 20+" gigas. Of course my tangs could swim in an out of there too so the clam never noticed.

So, what are you doing to these clams to make them so attractive to clowns? I got mine from you after all :)
