My tragedy/What did I do wrong??

Ya I could fix this set up and I'm going to reuse some of it, but it's just too frustrating for me to want to really work with as is. I'm just burnt out on this one because of little things that are frustrating and I feel like it's going to be better to brake it down so I can work on the 55 dry. The bottom tank is so scratched up I should not have used it to start with, but it was free.
