Now for the second time my N. Trigger has attempted to jump out of the tank. The first time he did it it was while he was playing with the sensor probe for my thermometer. So I relocated the probe to my overflow. Last night he jump into the overflow again.

Is this something that is normal?

I believe that with most fish that i've read about its a normal behavior, trying to find a bigger place etc. I would just try the netting technique that I've seen a few use or light diffuser around certain area's to block the holes. I hope you get those area's covered before he makes a flying attempt.
