My water temp. is 29 in my new tank ... can i put fishes ???????

    My water temp. is 29 in my new tank what to do to decrease ??
    does submerged powerheads affect??
    ... can i put fishes is this temp ???????

    I would try to get it down to about 27 deg. Try putting some ice in a freezer bag and float in the tank to get the temp down. I would not add the fish until you get the temp down a little more and stabilize it.

    Yeh 84F is about as high as u wanna go....not any hotter for sure...adding ice in a bag is only a temp fix...either change the temp of the room to a lower temp, or blow a fan across the surface of the sump (if u have one)....that should bring it down a few.

    i got a fan today but i don't know the best position for it ????
    i put it like that ==== FAN=====

    Air is outward taking from water to outside and cooling my florescent lamps ... ??????

    Put it so the air is blowing across the surface of the water....my tank stays at 82Fthe during the summer...
