Live rock? it's the fake stuff that was baked and dried in the sun before i put it in

I like the way that rock is made.. Nice..

Was it ready for a tank when bought..??
Is it cement, or whatever ..?? If so.. had it been aged, ready to go into a tank.. ?

My tank is about the same age as yours..
I started with a 6 lb. piece of L/R to seed the rest ..
The rest I used Dried Coral... All my rock looks 20 years old now..

Unless it's just the pictures... Your rock doesn't look as " alive " as it should..??

Can anyone else back me up on this..?
    Or is it just me..??

Good Luck, glad things are getting better..

    Larry

My Substrate.. Sand, is between 3 and 3 1/2 inches deep, no problem..

gosh i don't even know what that stuff is called. the guy that introduced me to the hobby just fed me lines and i tried to remember (that was october). he said it's not real live rock and he cleaned it or something and then baked it out in the sun forever.
and just fyi... i don't have lightening that is gonna grow too much (if i'm not mistaken) just a couple generic hoods. maybe for Christmas i'll ask santa for some cheap lighting that will allow me to have an Aneneme for these 2 clarkii's. Tomorrow is day 13! STill crossing fingers that my healthier water is leading to longer lasting fish!
    few photos attached.
