My wife and I went down to Chicago this weekend to the Shedd Aquarium open house for members. It was great. We love the wild reef and we got to see cool behind the scenes stuff.

My wife and I have been talking for the years about getting a 120 gal reef tank, we've been in our new home for 3 months now so the time is a few weeks away!!! We've been wanting to upgrade from our 10 gal reef.

BUT, I have been down for a few months now. I wasn't too sure if I wanted to have a tank anymore. There has just been way too much on my mind, that's why I've been down...life, the world were it is, career, etc.. Deep in my heart I would LOVE to have a large saltwater tank.

For about a week I've been getting much better, but while we were at the Shedd, I got to see and hear my wife be so happy seeing all the reef fish and corals. Trust me, my wife LOVES reef tanks!!!!! As do I, but seeing her so happy and seeing her "immersed" in the beauty of corals just rejuvenated my spirit for the reef tanks.

awww, i hope u go ahead and do it, somtimes i think the same thing as a college student its hard to have a reef tank mainly because its nice to be able to pack a backpack and u know just GO somewhere for a week or two on vacation and thats not possible when you have alot of animals and responsibility so i can totally understand the not sure if you want to commit to having that, but honestly if it makes you happy, do it, it'll be worth it :)

    Good luck friend!
