    Cool.

I've met the captain of the Time Bandit on Deadliest catch, Hulk Hogan, and some guy that has a show on travel channel ... can't remember his name. I've also met quite a few of the Playboy playmates and have a bunch of signed photos of them.

Really cool famous people... James Garner, Tom Hanks, Ron Howard, Steven Tyler.
Gone to their head famous people... Mark Spitz, William Shatner
    Weird beyond belief... Tom Cruise

Of course, I've met tons of famous NASA and science people... John Glenn, John Young, Alan Shepherd, Carl Sagan. All really great guys (although Shepherd and Sagan have passed away).

There are others but I really don't pay attention. I think that is part of why I always end up getting picked to interact in those situations. I forget most of the "starlets" I've met because I just wasn't that impressed. I think NASA avoids putting people that get 'star struck' in those situations. I very much don't... there was some foreign politician guy that came over that was way stuck on himself and I was way not impressed with him. I finally asked one of our PR people and one of his 'handlers' if they wanted me to 'play nicer'. They both in unison said,"No... they were rather enjoying watching it... and that it was 'good for him'." It was pretty funny.

I can tell you about individuals if you are interested. It is cool though. My son once defined 'a cool job is where you can go into any elementary school anywhere in the country and the kids want to here about what you do.' So I guess I have a cool job... it is fun.

The job is cool... my wife makes CERTAIN nothing goes to my head... she is quick to point out that wives never get 'impressed' with their husbands jobs because the wives knew the husbands before they had those jobs... and regardless of the job, the wives are still the boss at home in the end....

I don't lose sight that my wife is still the boss... :) :)
