    i bought a goby to sift sand and 3 days later it died then my royal gramma died and today came home my yellow tang died, but none of the other fish have any white spots, or act like they have any signs of ich i dont know what is happening but yesterday i noticed there was some type of reddish stuff on my yellow tang can any one help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry2::cry2::huh2::huh2::skull::skull:

    Have you checked your parameter? Like Nh3/4 That redish thing could be some kind of bacteria or parasite.

    Parameters... Nitrite...Nitrate...Ammonia...Magnesium...Calcium...Alkalinity...Phosphate...PH...ETC.

    Any of these too out of whack can work miracles when your trying to kill things.

    yeah i did those but they were, were they normally should be ecept my phosphates a little high would cause the deaths so quick

    High Po4 would feed algae, green long hair, red slime, all kinds of algae. I dont think Po4 would kill fish.

    How much is a "little high?"

    Do you have a ground probe? A submerged motor or the like could have put some stray voltage into the tank?? Test it if you don't have a probe. Just IMO, anyone else can chime in at any time;D!

    yes i have ground probe, and no there is no exsesive algae in the tank its actually under control could it be the fish that i bought had something wrong and infected my other fish

    reef set up ? or ? what other fish do you have that "didint" die ?

    reef setup and the fish that didnt die are 2 small damsel those fish never die
