Mysterious new starfish/species in my tank HELP ID!

    The bristles can come of and get stuck in your fingers. Like someone already said its like touching fiber glass...

    I have a few of these in my tank, my girl spotted them the other night. glad i didnt touch it that woulda sucked for me. lol. cool to know what they are now!

    haha yea I honestly have just because I was impatient getting it out of my tank, and it wasn't so bad if your really gentle.

    +1 to the bristleworm ID. They are actually good for your tank despite the bad rep they usually get. Most people see them eating a dead fish/coral/anything and assume that the worm killed it when in actuality it's just cleaning up house and the fish/coral/anything was already dead.

    yeah i touched one...then i got smart and got aqua gloves. I think bristle worms are the least of our worries when sticking your hands in the tank. I have not added LR in over a year and just yesterday i saw for the first time for only a split second or two what i believe to be a fireworm living in my fuge...it's super bright red in color. looked scary!

    Haha I have yet to see a fire worm .. I don't even know what they look like lol are they bad ??
