My cleaner shrimp disappeared, had not seen him for over a week, normally i see him cleaning the fish every day, so i know i had a few good sized crabs in there and a mantis shrimp(hitchikers), so i put in the time to remove all these critters thinking maybe one of these could of been the culprit and ate him, after doing so i then bought a new cleaner shrimp, and 2 days later,,,,, yes he went missing also, have not seen him for a week either, so all that remains is could this be down to my coral banded shrimp, which may i add has grown huge over the past year, the water params are good, and all corals and fish are doing excellent along with all the other inverts, i do see the cbs creeping up to the clown fish every now and again trying to catch himself a meal after lights go out?

It could also be the mantis. Most people that keep them in a tank by them self.. I'm not saying it's not the cbs but you can't rule out the mantis either.
