    Hey guys,

I have a mysterious green bubble in my tank (i can't supply a pic yet).

It appeared on a rock that has nothing else on it.

It's green, hard-ish (I poked it with a net and it felt sturdy like it was made out pf plastic or something), it's also about the size of a marble now. It's continuously growing.

    It's also semi transparent.

I really have no clue what it is or where it came from.

In the tank, I have a yellow tang, blue damsel, maroon clown, crabs, snails.

Star Polyp, was thriving nicely, i went away for the weekend and came back and it won't bloom anymore. I'm not sure what's going on with it. Everything seems fine.

    Another two polyps, frog spawn.

without a pic, more than likely it's Green Bubble Algae (super creative name). don't pop the thing unless you want it all over your tank, fast. you can try to manually remove it with the risk of popping or maybe get a little rough with a siphon or airline (that worked once or twice for me). if the stuff gets too out of hand, i hear emerald crabs are the way to go

if its spherical, and theres not much preventing it from turning- a good twisting a couple times of it before slowly twisting it off will usually prevent it from tearing and spreading its kind all over the tank!

I usually remove it at water change time with tweezers or tongs, and with the siphon going in case it pops. We had it bad for awhile, but persistence paid off (and an emerald crab) - I don't spend much time removing it now.
