Oh man, thanks for the idea. I'm gonna start telling people I have all kinds of exotic very expensive fish in my tank but "they're just hiding" ....

    what first? Blue jawfish maybe?

No doubt! I mean I put that thing in a week ago today and still have not seen it once! I'd go with the jaw fish.. Maybe dig out a little hole under a rock and just tell people he is always in his den!

He likely went directly into the sand. He'll come out when he's hungry. Great looking fish. They get quite bold once they are comfortable with their surroundings.

I still have not seen him.. My guess is that he has cashed in his chips.. It's been a week and two days and still nothing. I thought I would have seen something though if he died. I've been looking daily and still nothing has surfaced dead or alive.

I have not seen an ammonia spike. do you think I would see anything in a 120 with a fish that small?

What do you guys think. Should I go on an egg hunt and move things around to see if I can find him or just let things take its course?

Yea because some of those fish can go pretty long without food.

I've tried everything to get the little guy to come out.. soaked in Garlic fed pellets, frozen cubes still nothing. Has any one else heard of these burrying themselves in the sand bed?
