my lfs store has one and i pondered buying him today and still may tomorrow. first off, ive found they are expensive, 150.00 at my lfs...i asked a few questions as well. First one was will they way readily, answer was yes so thats cool, second was will he get along with other wrasses such as my leopard and lubbocks wrasse, and answer was mosy likely especially since he would be the last of the 3 to enter the tank. Lfs owner said they can become somewhat aggressive if they est. territory and than add more wrasses. The last question i asked and confirmed was whether or not they were jumpers, that answer sucked...they are subject to jumping just as much as any other wrasse. Most of the time thats not a huge concern but when the fish is 150 bux the thought of finding him dried up on the floor bothers me.

In general, any fish shaped like a wrasse, or has the name wrasse is a jumper.

I wish these were not quite so $$, but the collection of them is what makes them pricey.

A very similar wrasse for around 30 dollars is a secretive wrasse.

i have kept 2 mystery wrasses in the past and they are very much like 6 line wrasses in regards to how they act in the aquarium as well as the foods they eat. My first one would eat only frozen mysis, frozen brine, and spirulina. The second one i had was less picky and would eat anything and everything including flakes and pellets.
