n00b saying Hi

Well the tank has been going all night, and its still not clear. I tomorrow will be the task of getting a temp reservoir system (I dont have another tank i can use a backup) Im thinking 2 30 gal tubs. Run my filtration system into it. The supply from one tub and pumping back to the other tub. Just to keep the biological filter running. And of course add my heater in to keep the water warm.

Once that's done. I will remove the sand.

Then its time to re-plumb the system. I will be looking to you wizards for guidance.

Then fix one small leak in my bulkhead.

Then we're starting from scracth

My tank. This was after 3 weeks. Tank is a bit clearer, but not 'crystal' clear. Any recommendations on how to achieve this?



Here's the media. The sand is 1"-2" thick on the bottom. This is not live sand, just standard fine grain sand from my LFS.



Here is my bulkhead. White tube in the middle is the supply, the black one over the bulkhead is the return.



My plumbing Joiner, then tapering attachments to get from the 2" opening down to the 3/4" tubing.



Finally my filter.

Is that an AquaticLife T5 or LED? I thought you said all this stuff about ballasts with T5 and having two fixtures in your original post?? AquaticLife fixtures don't have external ballasts, and you seem to only have one double bulb 48w 24 inch fixture
