I have both caps drilled already but have not tried the hose.. I will give it a go. Thanks.

 

That pvc pipe is an awesome idea. I'll definitely keep that in mind on the next tank.

Very clean build so far. I was really hoping that the noise wasnt an issue when i saw the design tho..

 

I'm sure it needs to be tweaked, that was only my first run with water. :

 

I will let this plumbing run for a few days to see if it slimes over but if not I will be ordering some glass and bulkheads Saturday for some bean animal action. I tried being different but the burping is really annoying.. and I want silent. I wouldn't mind if it was in my garage or my man room but to be in my living room where my wife reads it has to be dialed down. I also have some new pics on the stand being painted inside and out, doors added and controller panel started.

 

Nice looking build. That tank stand is a thing of beauty.

My own little signature free hand painting. Thought it was in order.. I like it.





Stand painted with a glossy finish and inside was painted with marine white and chalked in all seams and corners to fight against mold and mildew.
