Haha thanks Chris, I think it's a highlight on my system for sure. But its no sexy control panel without sexy wire management which I'm struggling with :p But thanks again buddy.

The worst part of wire management is when you have to take something out and redo it! Your system is going to be top notch! Cant wait to see it up and running.
Are you going to paint the inside of the stand to help with moisture?

Haha I hear yah but I have to work on my patience(so my wife says) so it may be a good thing. lol. But thanks :D

I have the inside already painted with marine grade white paint and caulking in all seams and corners. But have not tackled the inside of the doors yet but they are on the list of things to do. :p

    Nooze,
I really like your DIY overflow- BA style- looks great!

Ar you going to put nozzles, and/or a siphon break on those returns?, otherwise, It looks to me like there will be alot of water returning to the sump on poweroffs/ powerouts.

So, when is this going to get wet?
Very nice build btw, I really like all of it, great planning!

If you can see closely there is a check valve just under the WYE fitting on my return line.(the return line hasn't changed from my previous plumbing[has been wet tested/works])

So, when is this going to get wet?

I have just plumbed(Glued) everything together this morning. So I'll let everything sit for a few hours. By that time I will have all the caulking trimmed and neat on the overflow box. But to get wet this will be just a wet trip for leaks in plumbing if any. :D When it will get wet for fish is when we move to our new home shortly.

So the check valve is a sort of one way thing? With pressure it's close, but when running backwards it's open to air, and it works? OK

Long as it works, one of the many ways to skin a cat.
